Marketing and selling an old house requires a unique set of skills and considerations

Dominic’s Story
For Vendors, there is often emotion involved in selling a much loved family home, and entrusting an agent to have the appropriate experience to find the right buyer – who will share the same enthusiasm for their property – is an act of faith.
Dominic’s in-depth understanding and ability to address concerns will lead a purchaser through any perceived challenges associated with heritage property, including a renovation project or a heritage register. He engenders trust and confidence in the sales process for both vendor and purchaser alike.
Over the decades he has saved many unrestored buildings, from modest cottages to some of the grandest state-registered rural houses in the country. Some of these include the 50-room Italianate mansion Rupertswood, one of Australia’s architectural gems and the birthplace of cricket’s most famous trophy “The Ashes”. The diminutive pottery urn was created and first presented at Rupertswood in 1883.
Dominic’s dedication to history and leveraging his experience ensures that everyone enjoys the sale process. In the world of heritage property, his expertise creates a strong foundation of trust resulting in a transparent, educational, and successful experience for all parties involved.
Dominic is an expert in the field of property presentation. He has a thorough knowledge of the many elements required to amplify the interiors and exteriors of each property he works with, for example, furniture placement, art and antiques, soft furnishings, aesthetics, functionality of internal spaces, and gardens.
This knowledge enables him to communicate to vendors the best strategies for optimum presentation and to engage in enthusiastic conversations with vendors.
